The reconstruction of the west wing of the Rijswijks Lyceum was the first step taken in the large-scale revitalization of the school as a whole. The school has a special feature: a professionally equipped theatre, a relic from the days when it served as the theatre of the suburban city of Rijswijk. Because the theatre is only occasionally used as such, it serves mainly as a social space for students. Since there were no barriers between the theatre and the rest of the school, this caused a lot of inconvenience. Therefore, a partition wall was placed and covered with a collage of theatre posters. The ground floor houses the school offices, the first floor several classrooms and the new staff room.
